Proteams provides this Privacy Policy to
let you know about our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use,
storage, transfer, and disclosure of information through www.proteams.com (the “Website”), and
any other websites, features, applications, widgets, or online services owned
or controlled by Proteams that post a link to this Privacy Policy (together
with the Website, the “Service”), as well as any information Proteams collects
offline in connection with the Service.
Please note that we combine the information we collect from you from the
Website, through the Service generally, and offline. By accessing the Website,
you consent to the collection and use of your information by Proteams as
described herein. Should you wish to revoke your consent, you may do so in
accordance with Section 5 below.
1. Security of Your Information
Proteams takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect and secure the information it collects and stores about its Users, in line with ISO/IEC 27001 standards and applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Encryption: Transmission of personal data is protected by SSL/TLS and HTTP Strict Transport Security.
- Access Controls: Access to personal data is strictly role-based and logged.
- Back-ups & Availability: We implement secure back-up procedures and business continuity controls.
- Breach Notification: In the unlikely event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and, where applicable, the competent supervisory authority without undue delay and within the timeframes required by the GDPR.
Please remember no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. However, we continually improve our controls in line with ISO 27001 requirements.

We collect information at various points in the Website and Service to provide, improve, and secure our platform.

In the course of using the Service (whether as a Client or a Pro/Team Member), we may collect data that identifies you as a specific individual (“Personal Data”). This may include:

- Payment details (credit card, PayPal, bank account, billing address);
- Profile/CV/portfolio details;
- Communications sent through our platform.
We only collect Personal Data when you provide it to us or when it is necessary for the purposes described in Section 3.

data such as IP address, browser type, referring websites, usage analytics, and
aggregated statistics about how you interact with the Service.
For example, we use cookies and similar technologies. You can disable cookies

- Administer your account and verify your identity;
- Facilitate Engagements between Clients and Pros;
- Process payments, including self-billing invoices where Proteams issues invoices on behalf of freelancers when authorized;
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and data protection obligations;
- Send important administrative or contractual communications;
- Provide marketing or promotional content where you have given consent.
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary for these purposes, to fulfill contractual and legal obligations (including five years minimum for financial/tax records), or until you request deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your Personal Data. We may share it as follows:
4.1 Service Providers & Sub-Processors
We use carefully selected vendors (e.g.,
payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics, background check providers) who
process data on our behalf under data processing agreements (DPAs) that
meet GDPR standards.

4.2 Clients & Engagement Partners
When you participate in an Engagement, your relevant Personal Data (e.g., CV, skills, work history, payment info) may be shared with the Client to fulfill the Engagement.
4.3 Legal Compliance
We may disclose Personal Data if required by law, lawful requests, court orders, or to protect our legal rights.
4.4 International Data Transfers
If we transfer your Personal Data outside the EEA, we use GDPR-approved safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) and assess destination country risk.
